This was simple to make ! I covered an old basket ball with a black garbage bag and made the legs out of wire coat hangers draped in black fabric, I secured the fabric with zip strips which gave it an insect like appearance.I placed a skull in front where the head would be and dusted it with green flourescent paint as it was in a blacklight scene.Everybody loved it !!!

I like it. It sounds simple too and sometimes simple is best.
I think there are many, many incredibly detailed and realistic props displayed on this site which are fantastic to see and gives us all inspiration. I'm in the middle of something at the moment which is getting very detailed. However, I wonder if perhaps sometimes I spend too much time on small detail when a lot of what's seen is in the dark and so the odd imperfection here and there really doesn't matter.
I bet your spider looked even better in the dark!!'Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few.’ Winston Churchill - Battle of Britain 1940.

They're not imperfections or defects...they're details.
I really like the use of a skull for the head...it really creeps it out. Well, done.Chivalry is NOT dead...but I'm working on it.

That thing would freak the heck out of me in the dark with a black light and having it outside. Most people don't expect something like that outside. I would seriously jump if I saw a huge spider with a skull head. Awesome job! Maybe you could have a person near it to make a *ch ch ch ch* sound in the grass to make it even creepier!
