A few weeks ago someone posted on a thread and was talking about how they had made a hanging man silhouette for their window. They said they used a white sheet and black paint...or something like that. This sounded really cool and I wanted to try it. Anyone know how this is done??

I'm not positive, but I thought someone had posted a picture many moons ago where they had cut a silhouette out of black paper and just attached that on the inside of their blinds, backlit by a room light. It looked very good and sounded very simple. I tried a quick search but came up with nada, though, for the post I'd seen. Give it a shot, as you'd have little to lose by trying.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe even cardboard painted black.

You could do it with a sheet, but you would have to make a stencil. Maybe like a freezer paper stencil?

thats all it was...black paper taped to the window or such...you can also use black trash bags.

Just cut out the outline of the design you want and tape it up. Projector would help if you have one, or print off an enlarged pattern. Pretty simple...even Marth Stewart has some of the ideas like this on her website in the halloween section if you feel like googling it up

Wow I almost missed the responses to my question...things in this section drop so quickly this time of year. Thanks everyone for your answers and suggestions.

RunawayOctober, I think that is what I was looking for... thank you.
