I picked up a few new old stock pressure mats at a sale today. It says they are 25VDC can these be used to trigger props?
They were made by Radio Shack in the 1980's. Still in original packaging. They were for burglar alarms. There are 2 wires that come off them. They are 6" wide x 24" long. I think I have 4 of them. If there is interest I'll post a couple of them in the for sale section. I just was not sure if they would trigger a prop.

I am guessing these pads have a plug on them already to power it?

You can use them. Just buy 24v solenoids or whatever. Hook that up to these 2 wires. When contact is made the solenoid/whatever will turn on.

If it just has 2 wires and no outlet then it is a little more work but can be done.

Using these to power a controller would be a little hard. Most controllers are 12v triggers.

Here are the pressure mats. I got 4 of them for a buck so I figured id grab them. I sure didn't need 4 of them but what the heck...

I wasn't even sure they would work as a trigger. I may attemp to use one. Just means i'll have to buy some new selenoids. Will these hook up to a picoboo or nerve center controller?

Really all it is ,is a type of switch. It will handle up to 1 amp @ 25 volts. If you are using 12 volt solenoids you will be fine. You would wire it just like a normally open switch. youcould also use it to trigger a 12 volt relay that would activate a 120 solenoid
