A few weeks ago there was a thread on this prop from Haunted Props and I made a small scale test model just to get the movement I wanted.
I finally got around to doing it in life size ...well kinda, it's the same size that's pictured above which isn't really life size. The movement isn't as quick as the $600.00 prop but I can live with it considering It cost maybe $20 dollars to make.
Also I contacted Haunted Props about their breathing grave and the suggest that if you use it outside to use it with a overhang to keep the rain off it. My prop is made with a low voltage DC motor so it's fairly safe to use outside, on the ground and in the rain.
Here's two videos of test I did with different movement it's very easy to adjust the movement on this prop or to add even more movement....which looks the best.
I would rate this prop at a skill level 4 (1 easiest-10 hardest) so anyone that wants to make one should be able to...I will do a how to if anyone wants it. It's still in test mode because I'm testing different types of covers for it but the mechanics are finished.
A little different movement on this one

Amazing work!! I'm impressed with how it looks and for it being around $20 is incredible! I would love to know how you did it.

Thanks and it really is a easy and quick prop to make and it's only $20 dollars if you had to buy everything...I probably have $6.00 in it counting the motor because I used scraps I had laying around.
I will do a how to with pictures and video sometime on Thursday but here's one picture of the guts and should give everyone a ideal of how simple this prop will be to make.

That's awesome. Saw the inspiration prop (it's made by Poison Props) live and have always wanted one. I like the different movement you have. It's like the person is actually moving and twisting under the ground.

Great job! The crickets in the viddy really adds to the effect. How did you train them to chirp on que?
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

Wow, you did a great job on thi prop, Max! I like your version better than Hanted Props. I see you're also using my favorite little motor to power it. LOL
I like the second video best--it looks like a body moving it's legs then it's head under the dirt.
Nice work (as usual)!
