    Hi all,

Where can I find just an old plain orange playsuit to make my Sam? I've checked the net and only find ones with pockets or some stupid saying on the front. Any help would be appreciated.

I've looked myself, have not been able to find anything. Your best bet is to pick up some orange fabric, buy a pattern and sew your own. Everything I've seen on for sale has some sort of design or stripes or something that doesn't belong. In my opinion the only way to get an authentic looking pair of PJ's would be to make your own.

Some of the stuff can be removed (pockets, patches and embroidered stuff can be cut out - rip out the seams and just stitch the pocket opening back together).

I've found some red long-underwear type stuff that isn't too expensive:

    Amazon.com: Red Infant Unionsuit (18 Month) - bo80114: Baby

This is the closest in my opinion, but not sure I'd want to spend $25 on it...
Amazon.com: Big Feet PJs Red Fleece Footed Pajamas for Kids: Clothing

    Ebay??

Good price, but it has what looks like an embroidered thing on the left chest... if you can't cut and pick out the thread, I'd just slap a patch in that area even though Sam's PJs didn't have one right there...

I agree with Myramer. Buy a pattern and some cloth. I did this last year and just hot glued it together (don't have a sewing machine). It worked great and he was out in the yard for two weeks with no problems.

i had to sew mine also. I had no sewing experience. But with my parent's 30 year old kenmore I managed ok. I didn't even use a pattern. Here's the thread that Mr. Chris Baker started with my "contributions". Sam

You're right, no need to actually sew it. Just cut out the pattern and hot glue to your frame/model. Sewing would be a waste of time unless you had someone who actually wanted to wear it. But honestly, who doesn't want to wear PJ's with a flap in the back? Just cutting and glueing would be a huge time saver if you're not handy with a needle and thread, thanks for the suggestion.
