This year we are planning on having singing pumpkins, so we needed something to house our projector. We didn't want to leave it out in the open and easily accessible for sticky fingers, so I built a cabinet disguised as a tombstone that locks. It is built with plywood and scrap wood and skinned with foam. The angel was a good find for $6, but it was an ugly color, so I repainted it to be a bronze/patina. I still plan on adding a wood base that will be staked down.

Hallow Rynnye!
Wow! This is spook-tacular! Quick question: How did you get such authentic looking lettering on the front? Dremmel tool and a steady hand? Template? How about weather proofing in case of strong winds and rain? Just adore this stone. Tool cool for ghouls! BOO

Very ingenious! Great job on the detail too!

Thanks for the compliments!
For the lettering I printed it off and used a x-acto knife and Dremel to carve out the letters. For the weatherproofing I just used Dry-lok on all of it and custom tinted it. I might use some type of clear sealer on the "plaque" part still to seal the metallic craft paint. All in all it is very stable, I don't think wind will push it over since it is mostly plywood and I do plan on adding a base and staking it down. The angel itself is inset onto the top, I cut the foam to fit perfectly around the base so it is more stable and it is sitting directly on the plywood top.

Great job!
In my neighborhood I could stake down, anchor it in concrete, electrify it, chain a pair of rabid dobermans to it, and hire an off duty cop as a night watchman and it would still be gone in the morning.Doc Doom
