I finally got to get some work in this weekend. The ship itself is finished. I picked up a truck load of old piling this weekend to go with everything. I am working on the rock formations. I need to build one more rock formation before I start covering my forms with monster mud. All things considered, this is going pretty well. Every free minute from here on out will have to be spent on this build. I have a lot to finish up on smaller pieces. I have started paring my goals down because I am not going to have time to finish everything. I guess I should be use to that by now.
I am pleased with everything but it is a really big prop - the biggest I have build to date.![]()

Very Cool.. you should win an award for sheer size..
Too bad you and Bobzilla aren't close..he just made a wicked mermaid prop thats the front of a ship . Looks about the same size. Is it called a masthead? Not sure what exactly they are.

thanks - Bobzilla's mermaid is incredible. I thought long and hard about buying one from him but I am so over budget now it isn't even funny. I may hang a corpsed buckey from the front of the ship. It really needs something but with time being so short that may have to wait until next year. When I started i wanted do a masthead similar to Blackbeard's in the last Pirates movie but time has gotten away from me. I really under estimated this project.

I have most of my display setup. There are a few things I can't put out until Halloween night. Everything looks pretty good. I still have to tweak the lighting - I am wishing it would hurry and get dark. On Halloween night the pirate in the dingy will be sporting my skulltronix skull. The pirate at the helm moves as well. I have a few more big props for Halloween night. I am pretty happy with how it all turned out.
