inflatable/airblown spider attached to your roof? I'm planning on putting one on the flat(ish) peak on the front of my house, but I have no idea on how I'm going to keep that sucker up there! Any suggestions?

Is this spider going on the peak of the roof? What kind of roof?

I for instance put a Santa and Sleigh on the peak of my garage roof. I have a breakdown PVC triangle mount that I strap down with hooks and a come along.

One idea is to run monofilament to the legs and tie down over the edge of the roof.

In the spot above the red-front door! It comes out to a flat part on the edge, but you can't really see that in the picture. And, I wasn't planning on getting a big inflatable spider, just one of those 4ft ones that sell for $25-30! I was thinking maybe christmas-light shingle clips attached to the restraint ropes that come with inflatables, but then If I get to much wind one day, it could tear off some shingles!

I put screw in hooks under my eves to string lights. Of course my home is a tile roof. But I think you still should be able to tie it down over the edge. Monofilament won't mar anything. Plus it has some stretch to it which may help. I would use eye hooks instead of just the normal hooks.
