Does anyone know where I can find a realistic skeleton for a decent price? I need one for my Halloween costume this year.

I'm doing a "Prom Date From Hell" type of thing, and I need a skeleton as my unfortunate date. xD I was going to stick a corsage on him and drag him around by his bowtie. But I don't really want to spend a fortune and everywhere I look, the prices are insane. If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome.

You could use a blucky for around $15 -$25 would be easy to drag.

Actual Bucky's are not only expensive but quite heavy.

After Bluckies the price jumps to about $65 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hanging-Skeleton-60/14955470 Off season you can find Buckies for a couple bucks more.

For a costume, weight will be your biggest issue!

You really only have 3 choices in prop skeletons, and two of them are well over 40 bucks.

A blucky skeleton is extremely lightweight, but not realistic. The plus; they're relatively inexpensive!
Party stores have them for about $25.

Another option is a rubber skeleton. They are a lot more realistic in appearance, but often discolored, misshapen, and flat.
6ft Rubber skeletons cost about $50.

The last lightweight option is, Barney. Barneys are constructed using high density foam, coated with a plasticized sealant. They are the most anatomically accurate prop skeleton for their price range, about $70.

But, for a costume addition; I'd personally stick with the most lightweight and inexpensive option, the blucky. Disregarding their ugly appearance and cheap construction; I think they'd work best for your costume. There are tons of tutorials on the forum for making them look more realistic.

You can make them quite easily but if you are just needing bones then buy a "bag of bones"
