I have a life size spencers Mechanical cryptkeeper and would like to make a reproduction of the storybook he used on the HBO series Tales from the Crypt. It is hard to find good reference photos, but I will just have to work with what I have...
Has anyone made a weathered storybook or spell book or anything of the sort? or know someone on the forum or an example of one that was made and turned out really good?
Just looking for ideas on how to recreate this prop! thanks!!

I used it to make a Pirates Codex book that turned out ok. I'm sure you could follow his tutorial to make the bindings and use a bunch of coffee soaked paper and glue it on the inside to make the pages.

looks like some of the outside and edges of the paper are "gummed up" with latex.
