    I also agree with the others. It is not the ground that makes a graveyard it is what you put on it.

    Home Depot had some relatively cheap burlap in rolls that would make a nice "ground".

    A couple of bales of of hay strewn about has helped "distress" my very tropical yard in south west Florida. Then I throw around some fake autumn leaves. They stick in the hay and I'm able to collect them the next day with out losing to many to the wind. I also use the hay to define the path I want my trick or treaters to follow. Works great! Hope this helps
