I have an old antique clock and one of the props we plan to do this year is replace the hands to make it run backwards. Anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve this?

I found a pretty good tutorial here:

YouTube - ‪How to make a quartz clock run backwards‬‏

I'm going to try it myself tomorrow and post a how-to. The only clock I had in the house with a second hand was attached to the hanging mechanism, so I couldn't take the back apart (despite my efforts with a hammer! haha) I'll let you know how it goes.

by varying the amount of voltage going to the motor the speed will change. I just tool a small hobby motor and a broken clock movment and superglued the movement to the morot to the motor manualy adjusts the time in either direction (thanks to the on off on switch)

These are awesome. There is just something so freaky about an abnormal clock. Don't know what it is.

This just worked for me. I didn't even need to drill any holes. Took less than 5 minute to do it.

Giving me ideas for a backwards room. Backwards printed clock face, backwards printed papers, magazines and other items and a lot of mirrors. Might freak out some wonderland fans...
