Okay. So why do I have to buy these expensive "Holiday" projectors. You know the ones that have snow flakes falling or ghosts moving. What if I don't have to have an image moving and just want something still yet projecting on my house. Can I use my yard lights that are shining on the wall now? Can anyone think of how I can do a design that would be heat resistant? I have real hard wired lights not low voltage. Let me know if you have any ideas? Was hoping for skeletons but that may be to intricate.

The professional ones have lenses on them the help focus the images onto the wall. If you where to stick a cutout in front of a flood light it would be blurry when it is on the wall. as for heat resistance i would use maybe aluminum foil painted with the heat resistant paint(you can get it in a spray or paintbrush form). You would need a frame to hold the foil but that would be the way I would go.

I got a cheap holiday projector from Sportsman's Guide through Amazon.com. It's called an Outdoor Image Projector and cost $21.97. It comes with some silly slides, but you might be able to create one in Photoshop and copy it onto transparency film. It will require finding the right distance for placement since it is a fixed focus. But it's cheap!
