Hey guys.
just wondering where the cheapest place i could order the kit74 from, and also i was wondering about an adapter that would convert the parallel port to a usb port and it actually works. I was hearing alot avout that so yea. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

As far as I know, there's no way to make a kit74 work with a USB to parallel converter. USB converters create ports in the OS that are addressed differently than a physical parallel port.

If you're using a laptop that has an expresscard slot, one of these. Never tried one, so I can't say for sure.

I never tried the express card but if you go that route and it works please let us know. I have been buying older laptops off ebay that has parallel port to use with the kit74.

Not 100% on this never have done it, just branching out to VSA, and animation. But I think I remember reading that using Monkey basic and VSA allows you to control your kit74 using a laptop and usb to serial converter. If anyone can clear this up PLEASE let me know.

It does not work with the converter. I've tried.
