Got some nice office furniture from Ballards recently and it came packed in these foam blocks. It's a nice dense Styrofoam (thicker and heavier than your typical styro cooler) and they are about 30 inches tall. I saved 12 pieces like this.

I initially thought of trying to use them as tombstones but the edges are "knobby" and there are two holes in the front as seen in the pic. After thinking it over, I think for tombstones it'd probably be easier to just use the pink insulation foam as described in several great tutorials here. Too much "fill in" work would be needed to use these.

So now I'm wondering what to do with these. Any inspirations come to mind?

My existing haunt is your basic graveyard (considering adding maybe an insane asylum slant to it).

    Thoughts?

Might make an interesting picture frame for some creepy photos. You could cut out the middle piece for a larger image or leave it in for two smaller ones.

If you want to do an asylum these would make terrific windows for someone / something to reach out and grab passerbys. You could use animated / static props, or even use window decals or screen setters if you placed them on a brick wall / walkway up to your front door.

Top of a MIB where the monster pops up out of one or two of the holes.
When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

maybe make it into windows to look into a lil room set up as a small prop room lined with sheets or drop cloths to make walls for small rooms.
paint it to look old and rusty or old wood grained windows.
or cut it in 1/2 to make 2 seperate windows and place dowels in them to make security bars.

can also cut all the lil "nubbies" off the sides and use them as bricks for something.

I would get a fill-in scrap styro for the two window openings and make a flat grave site marker kind of like these:

Build a small plaque to go on top or at an angle to contain the epitaph and pop that on the top and you've got a really unique grave.

    OR

Cut out the crossbar and have this be a framed grave like so:

With this version, you still get to do regular tombstone at the head of the grave, but the framing is a real "old graveyard" effect.

With a bit of weathering and aging and paint, those cuby sections could look like stonework that is meant to be decorative... it would look really nifty. Smaller so it may be for a child or woman's gravesite... there are many possibilities.

Thanks for the ideas! Please keep them coming!

What can I use to fill in parts? I can cut spare styro but how to glue and fill in the gaps?
