I've started a new project I've been dying to do since I saw Affine's raven. But I decided to use Haunt1000's design since it looked a little easer to do. I've made some some progress and wanted to share with you what I have done so far. Here are a few pictures and a video of the head movements.
And here is the video:[/COLOR]

I've wanted to build one as well since I saw Affine's but felt it was out of my reach right now. However this looks very doable. I hope you're taking lots of pictures as you go. Where did you get the universal joint?

Thanks! Yea, I think this one scared me a little, but after studying it I found that maybe I could do this. The universal joint came from servo city, here's a link:
http://www.servocity.com/html/universal_joints.html
I'm trying to document this build, even though there are others who have made an animated raven before It might help others who also want to build one.
The beak is now complete and the head is attached. BD did the fabrication of this section for me and I am beginning to believe that this really will work. The underside of the beak has a gap that I'm not happy with but i'll just have to come up with a way to camouflage that later.
I'll post more pics and video soon of today's progress.http://web.me.com/buckaneerbabe/Site...Halloween.html

I was actually going to start working on a few of these also following Haunt1000's basic design.
I'm looking forward to seeing your "documentation" as to how you do it because other docs are kind of vague.
Thanks for doing this.
