Hey Fellow Haunters,
During the winter I was testing new ways of making molds.
I decided to try and make my favorite horror actor of all time: Vincent Price.
I made a Plasticine clay original and the made the mold and final cast using Polyurethane Rubber.
I posted all the construction/progress pics in my albums. I don't know how much this looks like VP. Its always challenging to capture the likenesses of real people. But hey, it was sure fun to try. Thanks for viewing the post.

Hi TK421,
Its a full size head about 12"x8". I used a Styrofoam head, mounted to a stand with the all the features sanded off and I added about 1" of Plasticine clay to make the original sculpture. The cool thing is that it can be reused over and and over again for different characters. That ran about $23.00
All and all I would say I invested about $75.00 into the project. My goal though is to be able to reproduce things like hands and faces without sculpting them from scratch every time. Also everything I make usually stays outside for long periods of time. So I tend to overbuild these things. To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing. Aristotle

TK421,
I worked on a gargoyle project last year that involved more a of foam sculpture technique.
It went a little quicker and cheaper than this project. Perhaps a mixture of both might be the answer for creating some cool statues
