Buckies are realistic skeletons, usually from a medical supply/teaching aids store. Most people buy the ones called 4th Quality (due to having loose parts, areas not 100% perfect, etc) because of the lower price. Anything better than this would still be a Bucky but those generally cost far too much to use as a halloween prop.
A blucky is a plastic skeleton that doesn't look remotely anatomically correct up close but is more than good enough to use in a haunt. There's several "standard" types of bluckies out there that all seem to come from the same two or three molds. The face is usually "scary" (frowning, etc). Personally I don't like blucky heads, I plan on replacing them with more realistic skulls when I get mine during the Group Buy later this year.

"Blucky" is simply short for "Blow mold Bucky".
One can never have too many skulls!

I really wish some company out there would figure out a way to make something better than a blucky but cheaper than a bucky, say, in the $50-70 range, full size (5'6" or taller). Even if it came unassembled with instructions on how to put it together.

Not to complicate things, but they do, and he's called bargain basement Barney:really wish some company out there would figure out a way to make something better than a blucky but cheaper than a bucky, say, in the $50-70 range, full size (5'6" or taller).

He's available here:

I got one of these, and IMHO, they're a good medium. They're made of hollow plastic, but they're heavier than Bluckys, and they have good detail like the Buckys( Plus no assembly required).
Hope this helps."Waiter, there's a hair in my soylent green!"
