Hey everyone, I appreciate your helpful responses to my other posts, however I would like to ask another question. Are controllers necessary to run a pneumatic trash can trauma prop? Is there just a push button that I could attach to the solenoid? Thanks-
    Creepy.

Controllers are not required. As long as you energize the solenoid it will open and close. You can even hook it up to a power strip and flick it on and off if you do not know how to wire a pushbutton to it.

ok, I would prefer using a controller. Would picboo controllers be good for 1 prop, and a beginner like me?
    Creepy.

Yes "keybanger" units are user friendly. Picoboo, boobox, Nervecenter. Great for beginners.

ok cool, is there a way to hook it up to multiple props? It just seems kinda wasteful to spend 130$ on a controller for one prop
    Creepy.

Well you can get the Pico104 for $89 a little more work then the 105. I believe the NerveCenter is on sale for $54 at MonsterGuts.com.

You can hook it to muiltiple props but they will mimic each other unless you have different PSI levels going to each prop. It will give you different movements. Most use them for 1 prop though.

A picoboo can control 2 props. Or a prop and a light, or whatever combination you want. There are 2 outputs on it that you can hook up to be either normally on or normally off.
I usually have mine control a prop and a light.
But it would be very useful for a prop that uses 2 cylinders such as a coffin pop up, where one cylinder opens the lid and the other pops up the ghoul.
So depending on your application... a picoboo controlling 2 props can be inexpensive. But if you only have one prop then the nerve center is the way to go.

If I build it, will they come ?

I thought nerve center also had 2 outputs to hook up with either normally open or closed that can control 2 props / items.....?
What I do like about it is it's random feature. & at $49 on sale, it's worth picking one up at that price anyway...
