Your guess is a good as mine. I have no idea where you would get 16 channels from a joystick input. I am guessing you would run the routine and then reassign the joy stick to other tracks and combine the recordings.

Not to mention you better have nimble toes. LOL !! 16 channels ???

I think if I can get the upgrade I will go for the middle. Net about $80.00

maybe they let you address all the buttons on the joystick, mines got about 12 buttons and axis, it would be nice to have axis all those buttons. maybe it can accept inputs from to separate sticks, i can practice my ambidexterity

I think i will base my purchase on weather or not i will be able to my haunt again next year.

I really like to have the top version because you never know when your gonna need those extra features .

I'm curious about the joystick as well. I have a Logitech Attack 3 which has 11 programmable buttons.

Now if I could only find that darned Logitec Extreme 3D joystick! Pro! This capture feature, if it works as well as trackskull does, should make programming servo movement a piece of cake. The Extreme 3D has a twist axis that I assign to the rotate servo on a skull. Then the tilt and nod servos are assigned to the left/right axis and the forward/back axis. Makes for a more natural coordination of hand movement to how the head responds. I have an attack3 as well and rotate is on a paddle lever which takes some getting used to.

I agree is does take getting used to. I must have spent days practicing and getting used to use that lever behind the joystick. Didn't even know about that Extreme 3D joystick but it would help a lot. At least joysticks a pretty cheap.

I wish there was someway to control the eyes easier with a joystick for those of us with skulls that have an eye kit.

I knew someone would beat me to the post. I got my email this morning but had to wait till I got home before I could post. Even with the upgrade discount it is a little pricey for me. The only thing that I would like to have is the video piece. Too bad Mokeybasic didn't make something as I am sure it would have been great and now there is no need for him to come up with something. I guess if you want to go techno you have to pay a price. So EvilBob, we will be expectng an update and videos of how your going to use it and if its really worth it. Maybe if I get some kind of money windfall I might get it based on how many good writeups there are.

Okay, I take it back. I need to learn how to read.

Here you see the capture dialog. I selected 3 channels that represent 3 axises x y and z.

And it works!! This is going to save me so much time writing motion capture software!

I'm assigning tracks to different axises of the joystick.. I could have used up to 16, but I was lazy and stopped at 3. Version 4 (and earlier, I assume) allowed one track at a time to be captured. Version 5 can do 16 simutaniously.
