    The 15 pin connector is for an external monitor. Serial ports are the same snap but only have 9 pins. You may need to pick up a USB to Serial adapter.

    I just went ahead and got the one the Lynxmotion sells. They certify it to be compatible with their SSC-32 board. I know other people successfully use less expensive adaptors. I will say as well, I have two "bargain" adaptors that don't work with the SSC-32.
