Hey, I know im new to the forum, but I am currently building a pop up alien prop. Does anyone know a cheaper way to make a mask pop up? I was thinking of using an air compressor, however that might be hard to do.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll find plenty of help here.
Do a search for trash can trauma. This is a great project to for your first pneumatic. It's where many of us started.__________________________________________________

Ok so far, I have concluded that I will need an air compressor, a hose to connect it to my prop, a safety valve, and possibly a portable air tank. I am starting to understand. So the blast of air from the tank will cause the object to lift up?

A pneumatic pop-up is a good way to get started in prop building. But if all you want is a popup for a couple of hours on Halloween and will be out there the whole time, there is a very cheap, easy way to go. Tie a piece of fishing line to the lid, throw it over a tree branch or pulley screwed to the porch, and manually pop it out every time someone walks by.
Can't get any easier than that.

thanks, however I have about 6 animatronics as it is, and I want to build props as projects. I would like to have at least 3 homemade props out.
Creepy.
