Cool! Is there a framework underneath? What is it? Wood, PVC, something else? I'm looking to do two columns like this but they need to be easy to build-up and tear-down and I'm trying to figure how to do that.

Also, cheers to you and your Mich Light while building.

They are made out of pink foam only. no support struchute underneath. Just glued & screwed together. I get the foam from work We get parts shipped in packed in the foam. It is all precut to the sizes. I've been trying to figure out what to do with it. I need 4 more bigger pieces to complete the base of the second column. The columns are 6'4" tall. Not sure if i'm gonna put a cemetary sign on top of them or gargoyles. I'm trying to figure out how to cover the seams now???

You can always monster mud the whole thing, sand and repeat. Then paint with your desired color and then weather accordingly. Others have used Elmers wood putty, sanded and then paint and weather.

I've heard lots of talk on here about monster mud. What exactly is it? Is it weather proof? These will spend about a month outside come halloween time. Just want to be sure they will hold up. I thought about using bondo I'm familiar with that.

They are similar to columns we used several years ago. They looked awesome with gargoyles on top. I'll truy to find the tutorial for the gargoyles.
