I am thinking about making some RGB LED spot lights that I can hook up to a controller to have the ability to change colors. I can get 100 RGB LEDs for around $20 and the controller is about $20. I think that it would be awesome to be able to change the color of your lights as you need![]()

are they hard to do? I would like a little more lighting variety with my setup but Im usually stuck with red spotlights and battery powered strobe lights.
I can build the hell outta some things but when it comes to anything electrical it always comes with a lot of trial and error also known as FAIL and Error lolI dont hate zombies, I just love killin em.

No they basically have four wires that hook up from each LED: a common, red, blue, and green. The different colors are made by increasing or decreasing each color. One of the controllers is just 3 trim pots that turn up or down each color. I think that you could make them out of pvc elbows. I have access to cat 3 and phone jacks and think that it would be a great way to wire them. The only bad thing is that you need a controller for each color.

Do you have a link to the controller? It sounds pretty easy to use.

There are different ones. Search for RGB LED Controller on ebay and it will pull up different ones.
