Hi Everyone, Very new to this site...
Doing an event for charity and wanted to know anyone's ideas on making a pirate ship for a small pond on a campus. This event will benefit the Veterans who attend the college. We used to have one for Boo At The Zoo in Cleveland but the Frat guys sort of sunk it .... Would love to get some ideas on how to turn something into a pirate ship that floats and can have 2 or 3 (non drunk) college guys on it for the little kids.
This is a age 10 and under event for the Indiana/Dayton OH area.

Sounds like you'll definitely have to start with a small boat of some type, unless you just sink a platform or scaffold in the pond and make it stationary.
There are some ideas for pirate ship facades that others have built here: http://hauntproject.com/projdetail.asp?category=Facades

This sounds like a good way to go....I used a wrecked rowboat as part of my Haunted Pirate ship display. How big and deep is the pond? Is there anything in it like an island or landing? If you have pics that would be helpful.
Check out my albums and see if anything there can help you. You should should also take a look at the "Pirates" group here on the forum. There are lots of very talented folk there.....I have "Borrowed" an idea or two for my set up from them.....
!
Thank ye matey, from the bottom of me scurvy heart......"One Eye'd" Mick
The ships' doctor warned me that I've been partaking in too much wine, women and song and told me that I should cut back a bit.........I am really going to miss the singing.....
