has anyone made "packaged meat" for a chop shop or butcher shop scene? if so what did you do? some ideas ive found are these....

and then i found these and was thinking it would make a great prop for the kitchen towels and bloody apron etc. maybe hold some fake butcher knives too

what do you think?? any ideas to share ??

i've done this. you can buy new meat trays from your butcher or grocery store, simply add whatever parts you want (this is a fantastic use for old masks that are past their prime, cut 'em up!) add a dash of 'blood' (blood colored latex works well and glues the item into place) to it and wrap with Glad Wrap.. if you're buddies with your stores butcher, you might be able to get them to wrap it for you on the heat wrap machine!
you can print labels on your computer, them stick them to the wrap. easy peasy...

This is just like a room we are doing.... want to see what ideas you all have!!!
our room is a butcher room that I am hanging a kicking guy up in. Behind him our butcher will jump out with a skill saw. In this room we have a table that we want to have packaged meat laying. Some of the meat we are going to wrap in white paper like when you get meat at a locker or when you put it in a freezer because our next room is a freezer. We put ground up white stryofoam glued to white painted great stuff foam. Everything is then sprayed with spray adhesive that we put clear glitter on. The walls are painted white with just a hint of blue. We are going to lay some of the packaged meat in there along with frozen corpses!
Sorry I didnt mean to hijack this for you. But Im really anxious to see what people come up with on this topic!

If I build it, will they come ?

I've always wanted to find more realistic parts than what you can get in most stores.

This guy does more with bread than many pro haunters do with top of the line silicone and other premium materials:

I hang bloody knives and cleavers on my wall and use stick on window clings to put blood splatters all over. I also have one of those chicken rotisserie machines that I put a foam head in. It's spray painted reds/black so the foam is eaten and burned looking. I run it on NO Heat and put an orange glow stick on a piece of foil in the bottom of the machine to make it look like it's hot.
I also have one of those hand hangers in green like a witches hand. Cracker Barrel sold them last year. They do look neat holding things!

its ok, you didnt hi-jack it lol, i was hoping this would be a good thread and am seeking advise as well
the freezer room sounds cool (pun intended lol )
one of my other rooms is going to be a morgue with a zombie Dr. and a victom chained to the autopsy table etc. and the kitchen is the chop shop and the dining room will have crazy gross food to eat and make the guests wonder a lil bit (pics of foods in my profile) lol i have a huge old pot im going to gunk up with "great stuff" boiling over and the lid will hold down a skined hand trying to get out from under the chained down lid, meat hooks hanging around the kitchen, red bulb over the stove, bottles of weirdness around the kitchen with labels (dont know what kind of labels yet) packaged meats as shown above, hand towel rack, a sign, cling blood on walls is a great idea! and a creepy cookbook

in another room im wanting to make a zombie day care thing with lil zombie kids eating severed limbs....

so with all that said...any more ideas i could borrow?
