One thing I've had problems with in the past is when I'm either working on a haunt for someone else or at the very least when I'm ToTing is the inavailabilty of commercial lights that won't spoil the effects.

So I created a mini light that can hang around my neck.

I unfortunately don't have any pics so my descriptions are gonna have to do. I'll see if I can post some later.

Materials:

1 - blue colored pill bottle
1 - 5mm ultra bright white LED
1 - push on/off switch
1 - 3V watch battery (about the size of a US nickel)
2 - 18 gauge strand wire
Directions:

1) Drill a hole in the top of the cap just slightly smaller than the switch post. Thread the switch into the hole and tighten down the nut that comes with the switch.

2) Trim two wires to make the LED hang about halfway down the bottle.

3) Solder everything together making sure the polarity is correct.

4) Assemble the whole thing and go have fun.
