Bought this today @ Partay City. Spinning Motor; indoor use only (yeah right..); max weight 5 lbs.; runs on D battery.
Has anyone ever used these before? If so, what for?
I need any ideas for their use.Thank you in advance.

I have one of those, had it for about 4 years and still haven't used mine yet but you could tie up one of your bats. I think that was what I had in mind for mine. If you had some others hanging near by it would look preety cool.

I have used these for a lightweight Bride & groom to make it look like they are dancing. I have also used them on bats.

Bought one last year, but never had the chance to us it. I was thinking on my spider victim.

Looks like the same motor on my disco mirror ball, I may have to use it on a prop while I wait for the disco renaissance!!
What I am going to need is your standard flame thrower...

Hey Cathy, I used these last year. One was outside with a hanginging acrobat clown. I used another in my shower, (puppeteers closet) it had a marionette hanging from it. Mine were electric, not battery operated. What are you going to use yours for this year?

I used these before. Battery runs out pretty fast so I hacked it to a power adapter. I bought a different model one time and was very surprised. It had a crazy amount of torque on it. I put 20lb on it and it still rotated. It was a square box with the required adapter. I think 30lb would have still moved it.

thanks everyone for the ideas.
I'm going to have to find one of those 'different models' / electric ones! LOL That sounds like the way to go.

I had bought a few of them a few years back. I only ended up using one, but it was great for my floating lantern rig.
It was similar to the mobile style one made famous by the hallowed haunting grounds in Los Angeles.
Definitely did the job!

You bought that today?? I've never purchased one yet, mostly because I never see them in stores. I know Party City usually has some costumes out at this time of year, but do they have any decorations? I need to check it out!
