Saw one of those home redecorating shows on Sunday. It was I think on TLC. The decorator was redoing a dining room for a guy; took a really nicely shaped tree top, sealed it, primed it, painted it flat black and wired it for candle lights (the candle lights were white). Thought this would be a neat idea for a for a floating chandelier with the lights made out of pvc pipe, drippings from a glue gun and battery operated tea lights used for candle flame (candle idea from How to Haunt your House One/Mitchell). Figured some high pound fishing line used to suspend it from the eves of the house would make it look like a floating chandelier.

I've seen one (on realtor.com while looking at houses I can't afford - LOL) where they used a big piece of driftwood and put thick pillar candles on it and used hefty black chain to hang it over their dining room table. It looked really awesome! Didn't have the light floaty effect as the branches & fishing line, tho.
