can any body help me i am updating my electric charir prop that i run with a box of switches that i built but now i would like to make it automatic or computer controlled as cheep as it needs to turn on and off lights an electrick motor or silonoids for air run fog and play an mp3 sound clip i made for the show. any help would be great

hmm you want to control the prop and lights using your computer. Unfortunatly there is no "cheap" way to it but there are alternatives rather then getting full out equipment. I would check out terras channel for dmx help but there is a multi channel litghitng controller form http://etherealfx.com . It is alittle expensize but depending on the size of your haunt tha could run the whole haint with lighting. I believe i saw a tutorial also on integrate dhaunt control recently you might want to look that up.

Monster guts has a very easy to use controller. It is reasonably priced and easy to program. It can control 2 animations and will also record sound. You can also program up to 8 different sequences so that the prop behaves different each time. I started using them last year and I love them.

those are decent controllers the problem is there almost never in stock

If you have an older computer with a serial port you can get a kit64 relay board. They are pretty cheap. down load VSA for programing. There are several threads on here about the board. Try a search.
