My dream prop is the singing pumpkins I have seen videos for. Has anyone seen tutorials on this? I know I need a projector, foam pumpkins, and the projection.

I am looking for any help or advice on this project.

Anyone have the projections for purchase or share?

Suggestions on a projector? This is all I would use it for so doesn't have to be fancy.

Something like this video? I know you can do something similar with ImaginEERIEing's pumpkin. You sync the mouth movements and facial expressions to a soundtrack and then project the video onto a regular pumpkin. I have seen already-synced shows like the one in the video for sale, but not sure who sells them.

I got a used Wonderwall projector off of Ebay for a bit under $20 for my singing pumpkins and could'nt be happier! These little cheap projectors are a perfect mate for a project like this and are very easy to find in excellent used condition. Match this with any of the dvd's listed above and you are ready to roll.

How exactly does it work though? Obviously the projector projects the image onto the pumpkins, but I'm not understanding the dvd. Does the dvd go into the projector? Sorry, but I'm quite green with this stuff

The projector hooks up to the DVD player, much like a TV would, except the projector then projects the image onto an object instead of displaying it on your TV set (in your case, a pumpkin).

No. You'd need a projector, which would be outside, and a DVD player connected to the projector.
