I found this cool Faucet and Bucket Illusion Fountain over at Collections Etc and decided to order it for my witch's cabin. This particular product is an exclusive of theirs. It reminded me of the water illusion I saw decades ago at Knotts Berry Farm on a much larger scale. The illusion could be duplicated at home, but for the price I decided to opt for the quick and easy way.

If anyone else is thinking of picking it up and are new to Collections Etc, if you sign up for their newsletter first you'll get a promo code that will save you an additional 15%, making the cost $14.44.

Here's a video of a similar but more expensive faucet water illusion sold by HSN and they explain how it's set up in the video.

I actually made one for my pond last year. worked out nice, the acylic tube fit both inside the faucet spout and over the pump. I just used my dremel to make channels for the water to flow at the top (hidden by the faucet )

    Got a lot of compliments.

That being said I bet it cost me double the price to make. $14.44, thats cheap!

Yeah, even the smallest pond fountain pump (only the pump!) tends to be about $20, $15 if you're lucky. I think you can get $10 ones at Harbor Freight and online. I remember thinking about buying several tabletop fountains on clearance (it was about $8 down from $30) just for the pumps but I didn't want to buy them and throw away most of it, and I didn't really need it.

jonnyci - I believe that you could run a LED spotlight down the other end of the faucet. that should color at least part of the water. At the least, it would give you a cool fadeout effect.
You said you wanna what? with who? I don't think so!

I'm thinking of making a large scale version.
I'd need about a 2-inches round clear tube.
Either acrylic or plexanglass. Can't find it anywhere though...
