Ok, so this post has very little to do with cockroaches, and more with Pirate's, so I'm sorry if I misled you, but it's perhaps my favorite line from the coolest ride ever, Pirates of the Caribbean. I've been inspired to start making some Pirate themed stuff due to the cool thread for pirate themed haunters ( pirate themed haunters ) I've always been a huge fan of Pirates of The Caribbean, so making pirate stuff has been tons of fun. Here's my attempt at a Helmsman that is almost done.

I'm using a monster guts wiper motor, and nerve center to slow the speed of the motor, and Cowalicious Scary Terry servo..Best money I have invested thus far. I'm still waiting for a picoVOLT, so I can record a random two minute "show!" I still have to stain the stand, wheel, and bucky and then I'm going to decorate it to add some more details, but most of the hard work on the item is finished, YAY!

    Here are some progress shots!

and here it is in action!

True pain and suffering he brought to them all
Away ran the children to hide in their beds,
for fear that the devil would chop off their heads..."

Ohhhh, I like this guy! We did pirates for 3 years and then went to a Disney Haunted Mansion theme for the last couple of years. This guy makes me miss our pirates!

Thanks for the compliments BigNick, Thxboy and everyone

@buckaneerdude Pirates is my favorite, but Haunted Mansion is a close second! I love anything having to do with my two favorite rides Hell, anything Disney! So much inspiration! My GF got a friend of hers to do a painting of the Mansion Portraits on canvas for my BDAY (which by the way I spent in Disneyland, tehehe!) and it's my favorite! I'll probably be doing Pirates for a bit and then follow it up with Mansion as well!

@obsessedwith it The rebar started as an 8 or 10 foot piece which made bending it inside the garage interesting, but because it was longer it didn't take much muscle, or rum to get the bend! Just need a good vice grip and some patience! Rebar is strong and doesn't kink which is nice! The metal floor flange and pipe is a MUST! I used PVC and holes drilled through some wood first and the PVC was way too flimsy! I played with it for a while and it took two minutes to install the floor flange and pipe and all done!

have you seen my Helmsman. My wheel moved with a deer motor, but when i took the video, the motor popped out of the hole it was in and stopped making the wheel move
