can someone please help me how this can work! im on day 3 and i dont know if the motor is in a bad spot or the linkage is bad this si my first experience with wiper motors but im not getting that up and down effect!

try these.

Make a guide for the top of the pole (so it can't wander) or attach the top of the pole to the lid


Use a longer arm on your wiper motor for more travel

I agree with icyuod2, something a simple as a zip tie around the top of the pole, joined through two holes in your box will keep the pole straight and should give you the up and down motion your after.

Is your nut on the PVC to tight. You should pin it between some washers so it doesn't move the pipe torward the direction of the motor turning.

You need to add big eye bolts so it guides the pipe where you want it. This picture shows the eyebolts but the linkage it for side to side movement. So don't build this linkage.

i get what your doing im going to put washers on the pvc pipe as well as tieing the pipe to the lid! this should fix all my problems i hope!
