A MITB is nothing more then a cylinder pushing the lid upward. You can use a 2 inch stroke cylinder with 2 mounting brackets. If you want it to bounce around then add one to the bottom also.
PM me I have some laying around.
Are you looking to just have the lid move or both?
I'm thinking
(1) Solenoid with 1/8 ports
(1) Exhaust Muffler 1/8
(1) 1/4 quick connect (attach compressor here)
(4) 1/8 quick connects (2 on solenoid, 2 on cylinder)
(1) Double acting 6 inch .75 bore cylinder (will move the lid higher then 2 inch)
(2) Mounting Brackets
(1) Rod Clevis
(1) Rod Clevis Bracket
This will move just the lid up and down. Attach to a controller like a picoboo. Here is a similar setup I did last year but with a coffin

I threw this together just for reference.

The rod clevis (on the cylinder end far right) will allow some movement because it pivots. You can remove this if you want to make it go straight up and down.

Maybe these pictures will give you some type of ideal. I made this prop in 2005 and while it's not a typical MIB the same ideas are at work.
I used a wiper motor a bolt that the rod/piston slides on (I call it a loose connection) and this lets the lid open and close at different rates. Other words sometimes it pushes the lid open a inch and other times it pushes the lid open 1.5 inches and others a couple inches.
Other words you don't get the same back and forth movement you get when the connection is mounted tight to the lid. The rod/piston slides down bolt and catches at different places.

madmax: That's a pretty neat prop you built there. Lots going on at one time.
I can see the arm on the top zombie is just flopping back and forth as the mechanism you're describing moves the wall back and forth. How are the other two moving in and out at the same time?

Check out my build tutorial on a MIB. I made one last year.
Here's a picture of the wiper motor cam arm. We welded a paddle and longer arm to the cam of the motor in different lengths to open the lid somewhat randomly.
