Hello all,
I have a 2 story house will get pics when the weather gets better but my idea was to put a facade in front of all the first floor bushes and stoop and make facade of a creepy house because im going along with chris's house of horror for now until i come up with a better name. Basically theres a graveyard a butcher shop, and a clown area, and other small sections on the yard leading up to the actual house and front door! I need some pictures or help designing a facade thats easily to assemble everyear either it unscrewes into pieces or what! im going to start to build over the summer but want to calculate exactly what i need. I will get exact measurments but it will be 40 feet long aout subtracting the few feet at the corner where theres a tree id like to leave that. and about 12 feet high lets say! pictures or videos of your facade will aslo help me to design one but im thinking of a way i can build this free standingly and foldibly such as gaunt wall panels. I do want this facade to power a flciekring light at the door step where i will probably have a hole to put one in every year as well as fake windows and shutters and maybe somewhat of a porch that connects to it. This is going to be my big project of the year i will take about month or so to make this thing perfect.
Thanks,
Chris

I will be making a video of my progress building a jail cell facade in front of one of my garage doors. Since this is on blacktop, I have gone through many variations of how to do this. The one I'll probably go with is actually using the gutters as the top point to latch on to. I'll be using 1x1 furring strips for the frame, insulation panels for the facade itself, and scene setters as the wall covering- either the wooden wall or the stone wall scene setter. It will be light weight and not nearly the size of your facade. If you have dirt beds in front of your house, you could sink furring strips into the ground and attach the bottom of the facade to them, as well as attaching the top to gutters. You'll have to be careful with the gutters though- don't want them coming down if this will be up for multiple days with strong winds. A one day thing would probably be fine if the wind isn't too bad. There are lots of couplers for wood- look in home depot or lowes in the decking section- tons of great choices for temporary wood joints. Maybe even door hinges for folding large sections. I toyed with the idea of heavy duty velcro for the framework, but I think that won't be enough. Screws put in and taken out of the framework afterwards is probably the best way to go. Good luck to you. I'll get that vid up in a short while.

Check out this thread. By far one of the best and easily stored home haunt facades.

I followed that thread. Fantastic- absolutely. Easily built, taken apart, and stored? Not that I can see. But very cool no doubt!
