well i've been looking at everyone props with out doing any of my own so i figured i'd better get going myself ...i just moved so its hard to get the shop going again i'm doing this in my kitchen and the wife is not happy so have patience with the up dates......

got second leg set of legs on and ran a test and it worked fine now to figure out a body and attach a spitter

one of my test seems to work ok might be a little much ......... i dont know and have no clue for the body any suggestions anyone ???????

That is not bad. Hopefully you can control it to make it jump and then rest. I am thinking if you angle the legs, you can have it move forward and then back by energizing the pair of legs to move in one direction and the other pair of legs to reverse the direction. I think you could have two more sets of legs for each powered legs to get the 8 legs required. I think the extra legs could just float and that would give the impression they are moving separately.

im going to give it 4 more leg with springs to make them move with the others and i was going to make it jump with another air cyclinder and use the spitter with the forward and backwards cylinder ...but im still coming up blank with how to make the body??? any ideas.

There was another very good animated spider thread a few weeks past. I would think you could start with a foam shell. Believe it or not I saw something at a nursery you could use. A round wire basket used for hanging plants. It would be easy to connect to your unit. The basket even comes with a mat like substance that painted black would look just like the hairy body of a spider. At least the abdomen portion.
