I have found a great tutorial on how to make flicker candles, but the candles I have seen on this site are all white. So my question is this, would it work just as well with painting the candles black? Has anyone tried this?

No reason you couldn't. It might not glow as well through the black paint but I think if you spray it thin you'll still get some glow out of it, or just make sure the tealights are high enough to see the glow even if the candle is opaque. I'm probably going to do red ones this year.

I painted mine black and found black LED tea lights for the tops. I used mine indoors and not outside. I guess if ya have some sort of light near them you would see them.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before
