This is a Japanese site. Don't know what it says, though I bet it's how they created their specimens.
The pictures are really neat, and would make cool props if you could print them on transparencies and hang them up on a light board in a mad scientist's lab, especially one dealing with creating monsters.

Those are downright pretty against the lit backdrop! I'm sort of glad I don't know Japanese to find out WHY (other than for Halloween) they would do something like this.

from the site it says you can buy them from http://www.tokyu-hands.co.jp/foreign.html
from $5 to $50 depending on size. Looks like no online ordering and must be sold only in stores.
Also the page is just a news article, they didnt do it themselves, but did mention how the process works- quoted below;
To make specimen with “Transparent Specimen” technology, it takes some monthes to half year to bleach animal’s body.
Then give some special medicine to make protein clear.
Next, give some liquids to make cartilago blue, and bone is also changing color to magenta.
Though we can see all organs of small animals without break any part of body.

That is really interesting! I love the concept of them. Especially with a marine biology background. The website is talking about bleaching the animals so that they can see their organs and systems, i.e. circulatory system without actually cutting open the animal. Cool stuff! Thanks!

Those are pretty, they are probably using Methane blue are a gram stain to get the colors. I wonder if you printed them off on a transparency and cut them out if they would work in hte jars? thanks for sharing.
