Hey guys I just got done today with the 2nd villian in the Scooby doo series. In fact he was the 1st villian as it was the 1st episode. This is what I came up with

of course I will need to find a red feather lol to put on top of his helmet. Any ideas??

For the plumage?


Unravel a rope, and brush out the individual strands, then tie it into place.

I didn't have the time to do the hundred little strands for my greek helm, but this style helm would fit the idea well.

If you're set on feathers, and the craft stores are coming up empty, check out a fishing store. They have all kinds of feathers for tying flies.

I'd suggest checking the craft (with a floral department) stores to see if they carry Ostrich Wing Feathers (Plumes) - if you can find one of those in red, that would be the real world equivalent.

To get a really fluffy looking feather you could just use a piece of a red feather boa from the toy department at a Dollar General type store or maybe a maribo boa would work too folded over some.

you could use a portion of a cheap string mop dyed red.

I love the scooby doo theme for halloween. While yours are much closer representations, I picked up a suit of armour and an old dive helmet for the same reasoning.
