roof fencing-- need help please. :)

I bought some fencing specfically for my roof. But I'm thinking it's not going to work because of the style roof I have. So, I thought maybe I could put it inside my gutters along the front straight lines of the roof. Had not seen it done that way until I saw a pic in the 'theme parks pics' thread. btw- There's NO way I'll be able to place it on the very top of my roof.

I'm not worried so much about being authentic as I am being creeepy looking and not looking stupid. (So, please, if you think fencing in the gutters will look stupid... tell me!!! LOL)

What are y'all's opinions? And if I should ditch the whole idea, please let me know that too (my daughter thinks it's a bad idea. ).... really need your opinions/ ideas. Thank you in advance.

    roof fencing I'm using.:

please check out these gutters: post #24, first pic. (BTW- anyone know where that house is?

Mount the fence sections on 1x2 wood firring strips painted black, then just lay them on top of the gutter supports. You could somehow fasten the lengths of wood together to keep them even if you want.
Americans sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

This is an excellent idea and very similar to what I was going to suggest. I would suggest you mount the fencing to something a little broader, like a 1x4 (painted black) so that you're sure the fence with stand up nice and straight. You can either rest it on top of the gutters so it looks like trim, or you can match the pitch of the roof and have them sit above the gutters.

if i saw it on the gutters and i passed by your house i would think it would be to keep the birds off your roof not so much a halloween decor if you can make it creepy and noticable then people wil start to get the idea your going for.

I was thinking about sticking the spikes into foam and glueing them in; similiar to how I did my gutter crows. They held up real good last year. Think that'll work?
btw- I eventually painted the foam in that pic black.
