For those of you who are not familiar with my Haunt, Sorrow Hill Cemetery is a Haunted Victorian era graveyard. My theme is an ethreal look and feel with classic halloween over-tones.

    On to the Prop...

I always belived that the most simple props usually make the most creepy ones. Scarefactory came out with a new "blasting bride" for 2011 pictured below:

When I saw this prop, I knew that this would be a great for my graveyard haunting among the tombstones, but the $2400 price tag was a no go. I wanted to add a new mourning ghost to my haunt similar to the scarefactory prop, so like we all usually do when in this situation, I made my own:

She was very easy to make! I used a female Mannaquin torso, Ghost Costume I got cheap on eBay, a Blonde Wig, and made a stand using a metal rod and tiki torch stand. The mannaquin is plastic so I cut the back of the neck to lower her head. Then covered the head with the wig, and that was it!

With the right blue LED lighting, she will make a very haunting appearance in my graveyard this year! She is very creepy and realistic. I plan to add an air blaster under her wig as well.

    What do you guys think?

WoW, if you hadn't have said you built this, would have thought it was from scarefactory........ very well done ! Looks awesome & very "after-life" like. Love your Victorian theme, think she will go great in it.
When you look in the mirror at midnight,....what looks back at you.........

I do agree - at least make her hands white so she's more ghostly. It's a fantastic prop no matter!
