Well I've been hard at it, banging out items for our up coming horror convention.
    http://www.grimbrothers.com/tickets.htm
I'm setting up a creepy doctors office as some of you already know.
We'll have creepy nurses and lots of creepy items to look at (we'll be doing a couple photo shoots during the show)

We had an idea to do a shadow skit with the embalming table. (doctor cutting up/debowling a victom)so we needed some screens to hide what we're actually doing.

So here are my creepy screens. I though they might be usefull in some of your haunts.

the frame is just gas pipe and fittings threaded together.
I'm sure this could be done much cheaper with some 3/4"cpvc pipe and fittings.
The curtains themselves are approx $10 worth of poor quality artist canvas from my local fabric store.
I aged 1 so you could see the before and after. both screens will get the same treatment.

To age the screen, I first cut and tattered the bottom and added a few rips.
A large pot of water and 25ish tea bags in my sink, gave the curtain its color.
I soaked both ends then randomly stained the curtain.
The tea was then watered down and the entire curtain was stained in a weak tea mix.
From there the curtain went out to the curb. I dragged the bottom through the wet loose gravel/sand on the road. Used my foot to grind it in good.
Used it to beat up my front lawn a little (swung it at the grass)
Rinsed it well and threw it in the washing machine and dryer.
Not bad for an afternoons work.

When not being used for the skit, we'll place them at the sides of our 8x16'booth to seperateusfrom the other vendors etc.
I can't wait to start working out the detals of the shadow skit.
I think we'll even throw a little blood splatter at the screen.

If you have any idea's for the skit, I'd love to hear them.
    enjoy.

Nice. Love the idea of the torture being hidden. I would think it would make it much more scary. The curtains have just the right look to 'em
