Hello all,
I thought this was a coll 10 minute project i did and id like to show you. I have pics attached. I bought 2 skulls onthe halloween aftersale for around a buck or 2 at target. then i ordered some blue LED eyes (AC) for 7.00 online. I used a drill and a screwdriver to make eyelet holes and then wired the skull up! then i just hot glued the eyes in place and stuffed the extra wire undrneath the jaw inside where i made a cut out. Here it is! should make a great topper to my columns im going to be builidng over the summer!
Thanks,
Chris

Very cool. That is a great idea. I as well am building some columns this summer, or tomorrow, whatever. I like the led lights. What is the website you obtained them from? Can't wait to see the columns with these bad boys all a blaze.

i like the ac and not the battery back cause then you can put them on timer and thats that for 2.00 more ill go with ac
they have different colors!
THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS EVERYONE!!
cant wait to show you the columns! there in the planning stage now too.
what i was also going to do with the skulls was run a small tube up there mouth so they spray chilled fog also? what do you think? i havent seen that done before.Lost Souls Cemetery and Asylum

That sounds like a great idea. You could run the tubing up through the inside of the columns. I don't know what kind or how many foggers you have, but if you have a couple of smaller ones you can put them inside the columns as well. You just have to make sure they're easy to access via a small hidden door or something. Or if you only have one you could always run the tubing out the back. Let us know how this project goes for you. Can't wait to see it!

i was thinking of waiting with the fog because i looked at it and it would destroy the face and all his teeth that show so i was gonna wait.! another thing i wanted to do was run a surege protector or outlets out the back of the column so i can run props off of it.! i dont know if anyone has done this before or if its possible but id like it to be delf contained where theres no other wire running out the colmn just a self contained outlet or surge protector column. i dont know what id need to do or hack to get it to work but if someone could help direct me!

I see what you're saying about the teeth. Maybe you could cut open his mouth at the teeth and use some wire for the jaw? Just a thought.
As for making a self contained system to run props off of, you'd need some sort of power going to the columns, so it wouldn't really be "self-contained" (unless they're big enough to fit a generator in, lol). One possibility is to have a drop cord running to each column from your main power source (i.e., from an outside outlet). Then you could just plug up the surge protector and place it inside the column as you wish.LKSmart <3

yes that was my second plan currently in my front yeard is seperated py a pathway in the middle leading up to the stoop so i wanted to run the clumn off an outlet on each side and then wire a surge protecotro to peak out the back so props that are close can run off of that!
