I don't post a lot, but this was such a fun fun project that I wanted to share it. This is the Martha Stewart witch silhouette that was featured on the cover of her "living" magazine in 2005. I've seen several members on this forum make them, but the grain of the wood showing always bothered me. I used a piece of 3/4" hardwood plywood that has a smooth surface. I also used a good quality primer and outdoor flat black paint. The detail cutting took a long time, but I think it looks great.
She's about 6'3" to the tip of her hat.
Enjoy!

You did an incredible job!!! THat looks exactly like hers and looks very professional. Awesome!
Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

Super job!
When doing a black silhouette- I buy white plastic table cloths from the dollar store and tightly stretch them over the window. That can really make a silhouette pop and viewers can't see in or have light fixtures, draperies, or furniture distract from the effect.
