I recently aquired two Ford F150 wiper motors and I'm very excited to wire them up, but I'm not sure how. I thought I could use a 12V 2.5A adapter to power the motor (if that adapter provides adequate power).
Can someone let me know how to work the wires?

You only need two leads. Black to black and white to white. The others on the motor I believe are intermitent signal connections... at least the banded wire apears to be. Same with the banded white wire I think is to send the signal to reverse the wiper arm.
FYI I wired mine up with a 3.7 watt wart. It slowed the revolutions to what I wanted just make sure you got the amps on the wart it will pull.
Not sure about the green. LOL
But touch only 2 leads to the motor to make it work. It's only 12v and it won't burn them up or give you much of a shock... just a tingle.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

Before you use your power supply and maybe burn it out by touching two positive wires try this.
Take a pair of jumper cables and use the battery in your car/truck/van to test it. I use to have a few ford motors but that's been years ago. I believe you can ground this motor on the metal case so I would take the neg cable and connect it to the case of the motor and the pos cable and connect it to each of the other wires till you found the speed you want.
Black and White is not always neg and pos on a wiper motor
