Hey guys I am thinking about making a life size clown similar to the pic. That clown is called the Killing Klown he retails for about $3,000 thats way too much for me to afford. They have a static version for over a about $1800 still too much. I found his head on ebay for about $60
    Here is the link

Does anyone have this life size clown or the prop head??

I will try to make him myself I was wondering what kinda material would be best to make him pvc or perhaps 2x4's also does anyone know where I can get his clothes and his hands I think those would be hard to find something like the picture any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Here is a link to clown I am talking about

Start at your local thrift store for cloths. Clearance racks at walmart are also a great place to pick up triple x stuff for next to nothing.

Now I've wanted to try this for some time but have as of yet.
This guy seems the perfect victom though.

If you could locate some heavy gauge wire with lots of memory (I'm thinking the electrical wire in most houses) you could build him fully poseable.

twist up a stick man out of the wire (each leg/arm etc would need to be at least 3 wires wrapped together) If you used the house wiring itwould actually be 9 wires (pos. neg. and ground in each)

sew the shirt closed and sew it to the overall's. Insert the wire stick man and sew the arm and leg holes shut.
Now just fill it like a bean bag (packing stryo noodles)
Pretty much a large version of the posable toys we had as a kid.
Wood or pvc would work just as well.

I have the head, purchased it last year to add to my "Twisted klown posse". I was very impressed with the details on the face, the eyes are very life like. One of the better clown heads / masks I have ( & I have a large clown collection...LoL ).

You won't be sorry to purchase this head & make your own body with PVC. Think I payed $48 + shipping from a Halloween seller I get a lot from on EBay when they sometimes have sales.
I just checked sites that i get these from also & Ebay and this is the lowest price for this head you found with shipping for $64.

Halloween Asylum & Lord Gimley's Manor (lordgrimley.com) has some great Clown masks & prices & awesome sellers to deal with !
When you look in the mirror at midnight,....what looks back at you.........

It shouldn't be hard to find a pair of overalls and a shirt at any thrift store. Use PVC for the frame and chicken wire for the shape.

Since you have the mask the rest shouldn't cost you over $60 dollars to make or buy and that's including a cut off head. The hands need to be really large for this prop so that might be your biggest huddle, finding them.

But since it's a clown and no one but you would know the difference ....I would use a large pair of work gloves (not every day gloves) that I bet you can also pick up at a thrift store, for the hands.

If it was my prop I would use great stuff to shape the gloves in the shape I wanted (fingers bent to hold a head and ax). After you spray the foam in the gloves give it a few minutes to set up then bend the fingers and tape them together so it will hold that shape once the foam hardens.

Maybe this link of mine will give you a ideal on how you can use chicken wire

Here's a 7 foot prop I made and the body, arms, and legs is made 100% out of chicken wire, paper towels and carpet cement and spray paint. I will give you some ideal on the shapes you can get with chicken wire.

severed heads on ebay go for around 20 bucks. halloween asylum is having a sale i dont knoe if they have those heads. You can start with a pvc design usin zombietronics maneuin sizes. This site will give you the exact length of each piece according to the size prop. If you are crafty you can order a clown pattern.. actually i might have an old one if your iterested ill send it for you if youd like for free. Then just stuff him up with foam you can feel from a coach or sofa you pick up free on craigslsit.
let me know if you need help!

I use a combo of wood and PVC to build my static props... This is one of our clown props from last year.
