I'm getting ready to purchase some more small motors for props and was wondering if anyone has done any side-by-side comparison between an air vent motor and a deer motor in regards to torque. I can't seem to find any specific torque information on the websites I've look on.

I haven't done any comparisons but common sense tell me the vent motor will have more torque because every deer motor I used was reversible when it reached it's limits on torque or can't go any farther in one direction.

Maybe all deer motors aren't the same but the few I used worked that way.

Yea, from my experience, all deer motors reverse themselves if the shaft is stopped or if it tries to pull too much weight.
Those vent motors (the litlle black ones) have quite a bit of torque. I love 'em!

Do you know if the deer motor is loud? I am thinking of using one for a haunted Ouija Board.

They're very quiet. Shouldn't be able to hear it from under the board.
