I made this is in less then 2 hours this afternoon. It's not completely done yet. I might add details to it, I'm not sure though. I also need to find some cloth for inside it. You can't see it but my lone skeleton in it. I just hope I can get my hands on more skeleton's by Halloween.

This is with the lid down

Looks great! Is it wood or cardboard?

Cardboard. I made it from the box our latest bookcase came in. I covered it with wood grain contact paper for a realistic look. I took another bookcase box and made one that I covered with black paper. Check out my album for pics of it, just never mind the cat crawling over it. She just loves her mommy's Halloween props!

Nice job on those! Good way to re-purpose the boxes.

Your coffin looks great! I don't know what theme you will be running, but some type of handles and maybe a crucifix would look good.

I made a couple of "Toe Pincher" coffins for my pirate display last year. Mine are made out of pallet wood as they are outside props. I added some rope handles a few cross braces and a crucifix cut out in the lid.

This one has a mini fog machine under it that I activated with a remote when the ToT's got close to the front door. Some sections of plastic chain, spooky cloth and a rat make a nice touch!

My final touch was to add a half torso skeleton peeking out of the top:

Thank ye matey, from the bottom of me scurvy heart......"One Eye'd" Mick

The ships' doctor warned me that I've been partaking in too much wine, women and song and told me that I should cut back a bit.........I am really going to miss the singing.....
