Well I'm new to the forum, but I am not new to Halloween haunts. Halloween 2010 I created a 7ft tall reaper to showcase in the front yard. I had finished the majority of the prop, but failed to create hands, finish the inside of the hood, and make the skirt completely hide the base; however, I am happy with the final design. I wanted to see what others had to say, and I am hoping others have better design ideas.

I haven't made one of these yet, so I can't help with any suggestions for finishing him - but he looks really good!

I'll second that.

Very menacing! I think it looks great without the hands.

Welcome to the forum. Nice job on your reaper. I built one last year as well. I didn't build exposed hands either. I played around with hands on mine but it just looked better without them. I like the prop without hands. There are several other good examples of different MM Reapers on different threads here.

In the start I wanted one hand pointing and the other holding a light. I got so wrapped up in putting a fog machine in it that I did not have time to make the hands. This year I'm going to add the final touches, but am not sure if I want to put hands on it.
I will be looking into others designs. I am very impressed with many of the mm creations on this site. I love human ingenuity!

He does look great! Obviously his hands need to be skeletal and since it is difficult to find them you could just have a few handmade finger bones peeking out or wrapped around the lantern but he really does look good without them too

he looks awesome to me, very creepy!
I also like that both you and your neighbor decorate for Halloween! Sadly I am the only one for blocks aroundI have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!
